The dominant/submissive dynamic with Lucas feels absolutely right, and the tension between these two is undeniably sizzling and thrilling to read. It was filled with emotion and so much passion that teetered on the lines of kink, turning intimate and caring with moments of both intensity and tenderness. That story kept me hooked. With its blend of aquatic elements and academia, the novel offers a refreshing take on the genre. In my personal opinion, this was by far her best book to date. Dive right into this masterpiece; you will not regret it.

One of the best romance authors of our time has once again created a masterpiece. This time, she lets her characters experiment with kink and more spice. Reading Ali's books is definitely a huge pleasure for me. This book is about Scarlett Vandermeer, one of the best divers in school. Not only does she have a talent for water sports—she also wants to be a doctor. Despite her anxieties after her accident and her worries about her grades, she also feels attracted to the swimming ace Lukas Blomqvist. He's also her friend's ex-boyfriend, which makes everything more complicated than it already is. Both separately and together, Scarlett and Lukas were great characters whose personal development we followed throughout the book. I love Ali's writing and how she combines not only romance, but also social and psychological difficulties. I also always enjoy following the characters' academic careers. Warning to those who don't like spice and kink: there's plenty of that in this book. But everything was very tasteful, consensual and exploratory, which I liked very much.
