This story will stay with me.
This is one of my favourite books of all time. The depth of emotion explored in this book is phenomenal and whether you enjoy the classics or not, I am convinced that this story will make you both laugh and cry and feel with all your heart for the two main characters. I was both impatient to turn the next page and read on, but at the same time wishing I could stop time forever so I never had to finish reading this book. -

All jokes aside, this is one of the most beautiful books I've read in the past year. Taking place during the events of The Iliad, we accompany Patroclus, a young no-name prince as he befriends the golden boy of Greece at the time, Achilles. A coming-of-age story of sorts and a timeless love story, this is a book I would recommend not just to anyone interested in greek mythology but also to anyone interested in a well-written slow burn first love story that takes place on the shores of Ancient Greece.
