This book is even better than I expected! The characters and their story feel so real. That's what I love about urban fantasy: I can imagine this story happening in the real world. The language is accessible and clear! (even for non-native speakers) yet it still has a dark, magical atmosphere. I also liked how the pace shifts with the action: quiet moments are given space to breathe, while battle scenes and intense chapters sweep you away. I am captivated. I need to know immediately how Ember and Alva's story will continue. I want to know how they will break free and regain their full power. The Flames That Forged Us is not just an urban fantasy story about witches; it is also a manifesto for female empowerment. It's about resilience, female rage, and women finding strength in unity.
