Hillarious!
This book reminded me of the show Bridgerton (not the book) in its style of narration; it doesn't take itself too seriously, and will prioritize giving you a good laugh rather than be historically accurate, which this book is not. There are no Protestants or Catholics in sight, but rather people who believe that people turning into animals on a more or less regular basis is perfectly fine, and people who are absolutely aghast at such an idea. The book mixes fantasy, hilarity, history and adventure to a very amusing potion that readers will enjoy who do not want to take life too seriously.
