If you haven't read ASOIAF yet: Don' read this book. It's not well suited for everyone. It is a historical book so there isn't as much action as in ASOIAF, but if you're a Westeros fan as I am: Read it.

Wenn man eigentlich lieber die Fortsetzung der Game-of-Thrones-Bücher hätte, ist dieses Buch eine Enttäuschung. Quasi kein Dialog, geringer Einblick in die Charaktere und eine Geschichte, die mit halsbrecherischer Geschwindigkeit vorangetrieben wird.
Wenn man aber ein großer Fan der Welt von Game of Thrones ist und gerne mehr über all die Ereignisse wüsste, die in der Original-Reihe oft nur angeteasert werden, ist das hier das Buch. Die Geschichte von Haus Targaryen ist wohl das spannendste Geschichtsbuch, dass ich je freiwillig gelesen habe. Wie kann ein Mann sich nur so eine komplexe Welt ausdenken?
Sehr große Empfehlung auch für alle Fans der Serien Game of Thrones oder House of the Dragon. Man muss kein anderes Buch gelesen haben, um das hier zu verstehen. Und gerade die Leute, die wie ich einfach nicht die nächste Staffel HotD abwarten können, können hier schon mal eine eine gute Vorstellung von dem bekommen, was noch kommt.
